Folks, as y'all are aware, The Tea party movemnet was devevloped to counteract big government policies. We stand for limited government, lower taxes and believing that the Constitution limits the power of the Federal government.
Fox news published a poll in which members of the Tea party are supporting Newt Gingrich for the Republican nomination.
Have many of us then lost sight as to what the Tea party is all about. Are we not tired of both political parties supporting big government policies that have destroyed this country?
Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are the antithesis of what the tea party believes. Why are many tea party members not standing on principle and instead support with the same worn out arguments about the lesser of two evils when evil is still evil, no matter how its packaged.
Newt supports the Omabacare individual mandate, believes in what Al Gore has said about global warming, and apparently was in favor of TARP. Newt voted along with Nancy Pelosi on over four hundred pieces of legislation. Also Newt wishes to grant amnesty to millions of illegals who have not complied with our laws
Mitt was the author of Obamacare. He believes in global warming . He too is a leftist like Newt.
I wonder, if the Tea Party or dome elements of it have been co-opted by the Republican establishment. I figure that it has been co-opted. I ask you folks: What is wrong with this picture.
If we truly stand on principle then there is only but one choice of a candidate who is in the top three, Ron Paul.
Ron Paul was the founder of the Tea Party nmovement. His ideas about big government and opposing it were or became part of the belief of the Tea party movement. He is the only true constitutionalist and can beat Obama on the Presidential election.
You may disagree about Ron Paul's foreign policy views. However overall it is Ron Paul who would follow the philosophy of limited government and the constitution. Not Newt and not Mitt. Both would be a continuation of Obama. We certainly cannot afford to have four more years of failed policies. Either we believe in the constitution in its entirety or we do not.
